TITLE Dataset for Controls on the frequency content of near-source infrasound at open-vent volcanoes: A case study from Villarrica Volcano, Chile IDENTIFIER https://doi.org/10.18122/infrasound_data.8.boisestate SUMMARY AND PURPOSE Villarrica is known to produce continuous monotonic infrasound making it a prime subject for volcano infrasound studies. This dataset corresponds to a distribution of 20 sensors deployed across Villarrica's summit during a week in January 2020. Seventeen sensors were placed on the ground, and three were cabled across the summit. Specific station information can be found within the hdr of each file. This dataset is used within the Bulletin of Volcanology published document: "Controls on the frequency content of near-source infrasound at open-vent volcanoes: A case study from Villarrica Volcano, Chile" CREATOR(S) Bryan B. There are a total of 107 data files (in .mat). Each file contains a vector of raw data (counts) and a time vector (serial date number; Jan. 1, 0000 UTC reference). Each file contains the following hdr information: experiment: name of the experiment station_name: name of the station date: starting date and time for the file (UTC) llzs_coords: [longitude latitude elevation] sps: sample rate (100 hz) ac_calib: calibration factor. Multiply raw data by this factor to convert units to Pascals ac_calib_type: Units of calibration factor (Pa/count) filter_type: indicates if a filter has been applied npt: total number of data points within the file Each file is labeled with the following convention: Stationname_MMDDHHSS.mat >> (ex. s010_01130000.mat) RIGHTS OR LICENSING INFORMATION Users are free to share, copy, distribute and use the dataset; to create or produce works from the dataset; to adapt, modify, transform and build upon the dataset as long as the user attributes any public use of the dataset, or works produced from the dataset, referencing the author(s) and DOI link.
